We need to understand true joint function. A diamond push-up has a force ratio of almost 20 lbs per square inch more than a regular press -up (Demonstrated here) This means the way the joints move (articulate) during a diamond push-up is unnatural and deregulates the shoulder, elbow, and wrist. The wrist being the smallest joint in the body, and the longest to heal / rehab. We invent exercises based on a fellig and repetition range. If you have pain on the medial (inside) of your elbow, it could be related accumulatively to the diamond pushup. I’m just saying…Is almost as bad as bench dips.
